About Our Community
Nathaniel Group is based in Vergennes, Vermont, the oldest and smallest city in the state (and quite possibly the smallest city in the US). Vergennes has a population of just under 3,000 people, and that hasn’t changed much since it was chartered in 1788. Its one square mile footprint makes it walkable and friendly, and its streets are filled with historic homes.
We love being here. It’s
close to Lake Champlain (this city was the U.S. naval headquarters in the
War of 1812), filled with wonderful history and vibrant arts organizations,
and there are terrific restaurants. Our relationship with Vergennes –
a city that was founded as a manufacturing center, rather than a farm town
– allows us to tap into the city’s long legacy of creativity.
The people here are inventors, creators, thinkers and doers – and so
are we.
